Sunday School

• Pray for the teachers as classes for Grades 7-12 start tomorrow. Pray that God will provide additional helpers for the teachers.

Gr. 7-8 – Allison Eng:

• Pray for accurate and consistent delivery of the gospel to Sunday school students.
• Pray that God would grant Sunday school students the desire to lead one another.
• Pray that God would cause lesson materials to bear relevance in the everyday lives of Sunday school teachers.

Gr. 9 - Lisa Chan:

• Pray that the students will be receptive to God's word and be open to share their thoughts
• Pray that God will give Lisa wisdom and strength to connect with the students
• Pray that God will provide a helper for the class

Gr. 10-11 – Dave Tai:

• Pray that the students will be open and receptive to the lessons that they will be taught on character and convictions.
• Pray God will draw the students to Him and that they will be good witnesses at their respective high schools
• Pray that the students will mature in their faith.

Gr. 12 – Albert Tai:

• Pray that the Grade 12’s will see the importance of SS and make an effort to attend class.
• Pray that the students will apply what they learn in class to their everyday lives in school and that they will be strong in their faith.

Building renovation committee update

• Windows / stucco / insulation project will begin in 3-4 weeks.  Please pray for: 1) The remaining funding required for the project. 2) Good weather during renovations. 3) Quality of work by the selected contractors. 4) Safety of the workmen and the building.

condolences

• Our condolences to the Kung family.  Smitty Kung (Cantonese congregation) went to be with the Lord last Sunday.  Memorial service will take place at Foster Garden Chapel today at 2 pm.  Please pray for the family, wife Linda and two daughters Bonnie and Holly, during this difficult time.

Pakistan Flood Relief

• For the month of Sept. 2010, we have set up a designated account for brothers and sisters who want to donate money to the World Vision Canada Pakistan Flood Relief.  Donation receipt will be provided for this.  Please pray for the situation in Pakistan.

Cantonese ministry

• Pray for the new SS term which starts tomorrow.
• Pray for the Cantonese Alpha Course which starts next Wednesday, Sept 8-Nov 10.  Pray for communication and coordination of all teams: Kitchen, Admin, small group leaders, & task force.
• Pray for another 8-week term of Word of Life Telecast Bible Study on Exodus from Sept 9-Nov 4.

Mandarin ministry

• Pray for the new SS term which starts tomorrow.
• Pray for the Mandarin Alpha Course starting next Wednesday, Sept 8-Nov 10.  There are 15+ registrants this fall.
