Other Prayer Items

• Pray for more female mentors within worship ministry teams especially on the Music Ministry Worship Teams. In general, there are fewer females serving in worship ministry.
• Pray for mature spiritual mentorship and/or spiritual accountability within several worship ministry areas including: sound room, tellers and scripture readers.
• As part of our discussion for the 4-year plan, the worship department is seeking to develop structure for spiritual accountability for every worship department. Firstly, by equipping our coordinators to be more than just the problem solver, but also a mentor for their team.
• Pray that people may take initiative to connect with one another so that no one is serving in solitude
• Pray that the Holy Spirit may give strength and refreshment of spirit for all who are serving in multiple ministries and may be feeling overburdened.
• Pray for the worship committee to explore various ways to incorporate inter-generational participation in serving in ministry, and also participation in worship.
• Pray for opportunities for team mentorship
• Pray for discussions/planning regarding the Chapel renovations. Pray that decisions may be well thought through and for the best use of our resources and space.
• Pray that Joni may have perseverance to complete the revision of the worship ministry guidelines so that it can be a useful tool for worship ministry. Pray that the remaining departments may have good discussion/fellowshipping meetings (tellers, scripture readers, sound room)

• Pray that the Admin Board would be able to fill the Treasurer position.
• Please pray for all the new deacons on all boards. Pray for a smooth transition for the new deacons. Pray for the Feb 11 JCB deacon transition meeting.

EMM & JMM

• Pray for the Lord’s guidance and direction for the upcoming EMM, JMM and deacon election and on January 29.

• Pray that our members would seek God’s guidance for our Joint Membership meeting next week. Pray we will be seeking His will and direction for the church.

Mandarin Ministry

• Pray for speedy recovery for both brother XU’s oldest sister and mom (Pastor James visited them last September). Xu’s oldest sister has been injured severely by a vehicle at fast speed while she was walking; on the same day, his mom has broken her right leg in other incident. Pray for their faith in God will be a testimony to the people of the village.
• Pray for continued spiritual maturity for the bros and sis in Mandarin congregation.
• Pray for the pulpit search for a suitable candidate to serve together with Pastor James. Pray for Pastor James - wisdom, strength and health to manage all areas in Mandarin congregation.
• Pray for Pastor James’ sabbatical from Feb 13-April 4.

Cantonese Ministry

• Pray for guidance and wisdom of the succession planning for Pastor Dan and Catherine Wan.
• Pray for Juliana Tong, Wilson (Jireh) and Janice’s (Shine) mom. Praise the Lord that the tumor has been shrunk a bit. Pray for strength and minimum discomfort after each treatment.
• Jonathan Kwok, Ivan Kwok’s (Glory) dad – Praise the Lord for the effective treatment received in last few weeks that shows cancer cells are all clear in his last CT scan report!
